Andrea brings the passion of her Costa Rican culture into everything she does.

Having watched exercise DVDs since she was young, she had a dream to inspire people in the same way the instructors inspired her.  Her goal has since been to show people that being fit is possible anytime and anywhere.

She joined the fitness world at just 17, working on a TV aerobics show and has been living with the purpose to help others obtain their fitness goals ever since.

Having studied Physical Education and traveled the world for certifications, Andrea holds several fitness titles. Her background lies in Olympic Gymnastics and Ballet.  Living a life dedicated to fitness from 2010 to January 2012 Andrea moved to Hong Kong to teach at one of the world’s leading fitness clubs, Pure Fitness. After her experience in Asia, she fell in love with Nicaragua and its people, decided to move there, and share her passion for fitness.

In 2013 she opened AndFit Studio Nicaragua, directed her own fitness TV program for three years, and focused on spreading the word of fitness and health.  In 2013 she won the Life Fitness award for Best Personal Trainer to Watch in Latin America and then became a Life Fitness Master Trainer in 2014.

In 2015 she got married and moved back to Hong Kong. Her daily workouts include her own style, Power Flow Pilates and her AndFit circuit training method.  She also practices and teaches many other fitness disciplines including cycling, TRX, Stability Ball Training, Functional Training, kickboxing, and other short but intense workouts. Her philosophy in life is: “pursue your dreams; things are only impossible until you try!”

With a busy lifestyle, it is often difficult to schedule, prepare, and get to the gym, so creating workouts for people who were unable to access a studio became one of Andrea’s missions. She created ANDFITGYM with the intention to offer high quality exercise routines, via a certified Fitness, Pilates, and Personal Trainer (through a one-to-one system), that can be completed anywhere. Andrea loves to shoot in interesting locations and exotic beaches for her free You Tube Channel, which is designed to make you feel as though you are traveling the world with her.  Whether you are a beginner or an expert, GET FIT ANYWHERE & ANYTIME with ANDFIT has programs for all levels.  Her followers enjoy its simple explanations that allow them to improve their fitness skills, while losing weight and gaining muscle.

Hi, I’m Andrea and I’m the writer and instructor behind this site. I’ve been a fitness instructor and personal trainer for 15 years and I’m happy to welcome you here.

I am from Costa Rica, a beautiful country in Central America with great beaches, rain forest, and friendly people.

I look at fitness mainly through the perspective of Pilates because to me, Pilates is a great foundation for any type of fitness training.
 I fell in love with Pilates and the origins of its founder, Joseph Pilates, specifically due to his determination to teach others to be healthy, fit and happy.

Since I became certified, I decided to learn from as many different instructors and schools as I could.  I made up my mind that one day I would be doing the same things that Joe did: “inspiring and sharing”.

This platform is my pride and joy because when I started, I didn’t have the same opportunities to learn training and nutrition methods from a trainer over the internet as I am doing for others here.
