Strawberry-Banana Smoothie

Hi AndFitter,

I am a total smoothie lover specially those days when I don’t have much time for cooking and preparation but also as a detox or slim down option. Here is another delicious smoothie for you to try full of antioxidants, fiber, vitamins and vegetable protein. Just perfect!

All you need is banana, strawberries, chia seeds and almond milk. If you haven’t read the amazing benefits of chia seeds and why we all should add them to our diet read my post “All about Chia Seeds”

This smoothie is  perfect before a workout or as a post workout meal to keep you going trough your day.


Strawberry Banana Smoothie (serves 1)
6 organic strawberries
6 ice cubes
1/3 of a banana, frozen
1/2 T. chia seeds
1/2 c. unsweetened almond milk (or liquid of choice–milk, soy milk, water, etc.)
Optional: add protein powder
